A great number of people all over the world have put up posts to mourn NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and the other people who died in the helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.
However, some critics opposed the overwhelming show of pain, especially coming from those who never knew him personally and who didn’t celebrate him while he was alive. They accused those mourning him of hypocrisy and trying to do things because it’s trending.
Responding, Toke Makinwa, wrote: “Before you criticize people for mourning a legend they haven’t met or paying their respect to Kobe, before you comment foolishly, think about your life, your work, your message to the world and hope that when it’s your turn to go the world will feel your departure.”

Pop star Billie Eilish swept the board at the 2020 Grammys, winning five awards, including best new artist and song of the year.
The 18-year-old also won album of the year for her debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go, which was recorded in her childhood home in LA.
She replaces Taylor Swift as the youngest person ever to win the award.
“I joke around a lot at these things, but I genuinely want to say I’m so grateful,” said the singer.
Eilish triumphed in all of the Grammys “big four” marquee categories – song of the year, record of the year, album of the year and best new artist.
The nominees for album of the year were Bon Iver Lana Del Rey (“Norman F***ing Rockwell” Eilish (“When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go” Ariana Grande (“Thank U, Next H.E.R. (“I Used to Know Her Lil Nas X Lizzo (“Cuz I Love You” and Vampire Weekend Father of the Bride”
She is the first person to achieve the feat since Christopher Cross in 1981.
Her elder brother, Finneas O’Connell, also picked up producer of the year for his work on Eilish’s album.

A Nigerian therapist identified as Oyinkansola Alabi has celebrated following Burna Boy’s loss at last night’s Grammy Awards.
Oyinkansola while revealing the reason behind the celebration said that although she loves Burna Boy’s diligence, she however, didn’t want him to win the much coveted award as she was ”scared of his attitude towards fame and money.”
Her facebook post reads:
“Even though I love his diligence, I really didn’t want him to win. I thought the Grammy award would ruin him. I was scared of his attitude towards fame and money.
I however, think that his real award is the global recognition and the fact that he contested with a legend. So congratulations, Oluwaburna, may God increase your greatness and may you find him.”

Nigerian OAPs have reacted to the news of some of their colleagues who were allegedly fired from Soundcity FM and Urban FM.
The fired OAPs had staged a protest against being owed months of salaries, a thing that angered their employees. To make an example of them, three of them were singled out and fired.
Social Media users reacted to the news by pouring out their anger against the treatment they perceive OAPs face in the industry.
However, some OAPs who are having it good have taken to Twitter to lay their minds bare on the issue.
