Olamide is on a steady decline, it is not that widely noticeable but it has been reflecting in the numbers

It’s November, a month before the December craze, obviously the busiest month for artistes and overall, the music space.

In preparation for this season, artistes release a lot of records to stake a claim for concerts invites and also build a buzz for their headline concerts.

Olamide is in this scenario. A mild 2019 where he’s been ignored by most award organizers, he had to cancel his own headline concert in the UK, and surprisingly he had no hit song so far.

Will “Choko Milo” be That Hit Song?

This time, Olamide basks on the euphoria of the Lamba theme that has been the formula for some hit songs we’ve had in the last quarter.

Naira Marley has utilized it on Pxta and Mafo and here’s Olamide trying to score a hit with the sound.

The beat is extraordinary, fast pace, has that groovy element, indicating it’s one for the club, at this point, you’re already nodding your head and you’re getting ready to move your legs and the bass drums help the song.

Choko Milo will go big in the clubs but it’s still the same repeated formula Olamide has used repeatedly. It’s a tested and tried strategy and it seems you’ve heard the beat before somewhere.

You’ll also question the message he’s trying to pass with the song.

What Exactly Is “Choko Milo”?

This year has been one where quality songs with a well-defined message and understandable lyrics have stood out and regrettably, Olamide has largely depended on the same “street lamba” to try and weave a hit.

Choko Milo will make the rounds for massive radio airplay and will be felt heavily in the clubs but don’t be surprised, it’s just for a short time. By January, we would all have forgotten about Choko Milo.
