2019 looked like that year where we had less number of hits, But 2020 will be different.

Compared to the previous years where we settled between two major hits, many of us had this problem of deciding on the number one hit song last year.

Many went for “Soapy“, others said it was Rema’s “Dumebi” and there was a section that agreed on Fireboy’s “Jealous“. It was indeed a conundrum.

It’s another year and while artistes are taking a break from the many shows they performed at during Detty December, others are already looking at how they will rule the industry with hits.

Olamide might have learnt his lesson by changing his approach from being experimental to being intentional.

Wizkid is sure to release his long-awaited album this year and Davido might be looking at resurgence especially after his last album not living up to the hype around it and then Rema might be looking at dominance this 2020, who knows.

Many artists have been hinted to be exceptional this new year and we 10 days into it now, and there seems to be no Hit song yet.
