Davido emerges with his 2020 debut song titled “2020 Letter To You” and we think it’s a thought-provoking song.

While it seems it was a track to address the issue with Peruzzi’s issue with his former boss, Davido’s latest song offering is a vague and hazy track – no clear meaning.

The production is glittering, slow, melodic-throbbing well balanced with some live drum arrangements yet the theme and Davido’s choice of lyrics are confusing.

2020 Letter To You seems to be a chopped version of a song that was meant to be on “A Good Time”. It’s that song that was supposed to come as Track 2 after the Intro.

The similarities were glaring. Overall, it’s Davido’s emotional story. It’s personal and exclusive to him only.

A tune that portrays discomfort and seeks to address the troubles of the heart.

The songwriting might not be impressive but it’s simple enough to communicate its story – stay true to yourself and don’t forget to chop life.
